Nepenthes macfarlanei, named after botanist John Muirhead Macfarlane, is a unique species of pitcher plant that is endemic to peninsular Malaysia. This carnivorous plant is known for producing attractive pitchers decorated with red spots.

Color and size: Mature plant produces attractive red mottled pitchers. The lower pitchers are ovoid or funnel-shaped at the bottom and spherical or cylindrical above, reaching up to 25 cm in height.

Light: The plant prefers bright, indirect sunlight, 16 hours a day.
