Epiplatys roloffi is a peaceful fish that in general cannot be kept with conspecifics. The aquarium can be planted strongly, but there must be some open spots on the surface. A lid on the aquarium is necessary, as this fish is a good jumper.
The water quality is not that important. They are difficult to keep in an aquarium.
