Switching to modern LED technology has never been easier. The Tetra LightWave Timer allows you to choose various lighting scenarios to give your fish the most natural light possible. The dimmer function can be adjusted manually and customised to simulate sunrise and sunset. In the sun scenarios, the light grows brighter or darker over several minutes to replicate the rising and falling of the sun. Cloud scenarios are also possible. This creates the effect of clouds moving across the sky as they would in the fishes’ natural habitat. Meanwhile, the storm setting can simulate a tropical storm. In this way, the Tetra LightWave Timer enables fish to be kept in an appropriate, near-natural environment. The timer supplements the Tetra LightWave Complete Set. In contrast to old halogen bulbs or fluorescent tubes, LED lights are energy efficient and consume little electricity. LED bulbs also emit less heat, last much longer and are more environmentally friendly. Unlike old fluorescent tubes, for instance, they do not contain any mercury, which could pose a risk to the aquarium and its inhabitants in the event of a defect.
